25 years old and have only started experiencing tonsillitis as an adult, luckily never suffered as a child.. couldn't breathe through my nose as a child and was booked in to have my adenoids removed at age 5.
my tonsils/glands have been hammering me for the past few yrs and I have had enlarged glands for close to 12 months so decided it was best to go and see an ENT. Turns out I also have a deviated septum which needs repairing too so am on the waiting list to have both repaired in the next few months.
I've read that people find it hard to breath through their mouth after surgery as they are used to breathing through there nose (wont be a problem for me, BONUS!) although it probably wasn't the wisest of choices to research septoplasty and watch a video clip on an operation being performed, doh
anyone had both of these done at the same time? I've been told I'll need 12 days minimum off work afterwards. I recently had fibroadenomas removed from both breasts which had me crapping myself about how painful it was going to be afterwards but i'm funnily enough dreading this much much more from what I have heard and read about getting tonsils removed as an adult |
